Hall Announces Non-Conference Schedule

The Seton Hall Pirates basketball program has announced its non-conference schedule for the 2016-17 season. The Pirates will kick off the season with a meeting against in-state rival Farleigh Dickinson at historic Walsh Gymnasium on November 11. The first game at the Prudential Center will be on November 13 when the Central Connecticut State Blue Devils pay a visit.

The Pirates will participate in the Gavitt Games on November 17 when they head to Iowa City, Iowa, to take on the University of Iowa. A week later the Pirates will head to Orlando for the Advocare Invitational. On Thanksgiving night they will take on the University of Florida. The next day the Pirates will either face Quinnipiac or the team they lost to in the NCAA Tournament a year ago, the Gonzaga Bulldogs. It isn’t determined who the Pirates will play in the tournament on November 27.

On December 1 the Pirates will return to the Prudential Center to take on Columbia. Seton Hall will then head out to Honolulu, Hawaii to take part in the Fox Sports Pearl Harbor Invitational. They will play Hawaii on December 6, and the University of California on December 7. On December 12 the Pirates return to Madison Square Garden to take on the University of South Carolina in the Under Armour Reunion.

Seton Hall returns home on December 17 when they take on the Delaware Fightin’ Blue Hens at the Prudential Center. The final non-conference opponent is the Rutgers Scarlet Knights in the annual Garden State Hardwood Classic. The Pirates currently have the trophy and will look to defend it on their home floor on December 23.

The Pirates have plenty of challenges in their non-conference schedule. We will have full coverage of the games throughout the season. Until then, Hazard Zet Forward.
